Happy Monday everyone! You know what that means, time for a new inspiration challenge. My inspiration for this week came from the cover of a Crate and Barrel catalog – I might as well get some use out of those flyers that come to the house!
Clean and simple, lots of photos and just a tough of something interesting with that over0sized, translucent ampersand. I decided it would be perfect to scrap photos from my daughter’s 10th birthday party on Saturday. I made my numbers by reducing the opacity of a white number layer – it could easily be replicated in paper using vellum.
I tried many different colored background and eventually decided that I wanted to go with white, even though the number 1 gets a little lost. I just have a thing for white! It was such a fun party – I’m going to do another post sharing some of the crafty things I did for it – stay tuned!
And Natalie, I haven’t forgotten about your challenge. A new version of last week’s inspiration piece will be forthcoming 🙂
Love it – may have to do this for myself.
OMG, a shout-out?! Whoa. Crack. Me, Up, girl!!! I totally love the l/o and the inspiration too. You’re right, the 1 gets a little lost, but if it bothers you you could always do what they did in the ad and give it some subtle shading on the left side, yes? Happy, happy birthday to Molly, one gorgeous, gorgeous girl. Like her mamma.
Oooh, yes, just wonderful! Both versions … I will just HAVE to give this a go …
