Happy Labor day! To those of you outside the US – happy Monday! It’s time for a new inspiration challenge and this week I went back to my travel magazine so I could scrap my travels. I actually picked this week’s ad backwards, I mean I knew the photos I wanted to use and looked through my inspiration pieces to see what would work. Generally I just flip through and grab whatever strikes my fancy (now you know).

As I went through my photos from our quick trip to Chicago I liked my photo from the ledge of the Skydeck in the Sears Tower. I noticed that the people before us were trying to get both their feet and their heads into the photo, and of course the view below. I figured we had enough of our heads and had my family all stick one foot in for a photo – I think the result is fun, no?

I used a logo from the Skydeck Chicago website for my page title. It’s a similar concept to including memorabilia which I’m starting to think is an important part of the story when it comes to scrapbooking. Over time the logos/tickets/signage that are used will change and including them preserves a unique part of that particular time. Perhaps I’ve been too influenced by the whole project life phenomenon – I love the idea of it but think the whole project is overwhelming. This is a little nod to it. What do you think?
