A very good Monday everyone! For this week’s challenge I decided to try something different. In fact, I’m not quite sure what to call this – perhaps a magazine spread? I was drawn to the pretty background with the open book with the different objects placed on the canvas:

For my interpretations I used one of Katie Pertiet’s open book templates – the photo placeholder mimics the look of an open book. Perfect, no?

I wanted to mimic the bold and vibrant background of my inspiration piece. That’s a bit of a departure for me, I tend to stick with a plain or neutral canvas for my layouts. I really wanted to add some dimensional accents but couldn’t really find something that worked for me, so I just went with the yarn and the extra photos.
