Did you hear about the Cocoa Daisy crop that’s happening this weekend? It starts at 4pm today and runs until Sunday evening. Check out the forums to join in.

I was thrilled to be asked to be part of the Designer Challenge. We were asked to play with  6″x6″ Crafter’s Workshop Stencil “Blazonry” from the Cocoa Daisy May kit, designed by the wonderfully talented Julie Fei-Fan Balzer.  I used a few tricks that I had picked up from Julie a last years Summer CHA show – we played with tags and I love the control you can have using tags – plus, it’s fun to work with a small surface 🙂
Card 1: Love –

I dry embossed a shipping tag using the stencil and my Big Shot. Then I inked the surface with a blending tool to highlight the raised surface.
Card 2: Hello
Using the stencil, a number of ink pads and a blending tool, I inked the surface of a tag. I like how the different colors blend together. I finished the tag off with a sentiment and a button from Jillibean Soup.
The crop should be tons of fun – check out the list of amazingly talented people who are hosting! Don’t forget to check out the Cocoa Daisy blog to learn about the amazing promos they have going on right now for subscriptions!
