While chatting with my pal Emily yesterday, the topic of scraplifting came up. She mentioned how she lifted an older layout of mine (from 2006!) which gave me the idea of also scraplifting myself. I looked through some of my older layouts and came upon the following:
I remember doing that layout – it was for a kit club and I had no idea how to use the strange assortment of oranges that came in the kit. 😮
I ended up loving what I did – it’s clean and simple with a little flair, which is how I would hope my style could be described. I’m not entirely sure that I have a “style” but I’ve been assured that I do! Here’s my new take on it:
Supplies from Designer Digitals
I think I might have to attempt a paper version also. It’s a pretty quick and easy layout but I like how it looks.
How about you? Do you ever scraplift yourself?
Ha!! I was wondering what distressed chevron paper you used, then I gave up and went and tried to do my own – with lynng-worn-page-edges3 – and now I see that’s what YOU did, but you duplicated half of it!! Love that effect!
Actually no! I need to post this and add credits but the paper is used as-is – it’s by Lynn obviously but I’m not sure the name. Be back later with credits!
You have kept all the elements I would have used in this lift. I really like both pages! Lisa Ottoson (spe?) has a regular feature on her blog where she scraplifts herself…. I really want to try that sometimes.
I think I’ll be doing it frequently from now on!
In answer to your question, I often ‘lift’ myself when doing vacation albums. It is so easy to get lots of pages done that way. I love how you’ve lifted an older page and got quite a different look.
Girl, that is an ULTRA liftable layout! Recycling is good!!!!! Love it…why reinvent the wheel when you’ve got it DOWN? 🙂
