It’s Monday, and you know what that means – inspiration challenge day! This week I’m using a movie poster for inspiration – I came across this one on Pinterest but it kept popping up in other places so I finally decided to go ahead and use it!
Lots to love here – the squares that could be filled with photos or patterned papers, the cool tilt, the orientation of the title and journaling. I looked through my photos and quickly decided that this would work perfectly for my EPCOT photos from January (just one more park to scrap after this!). I don’t like to do extractions – I love them when other people do them but mine always look weird so I decided to substitute something else for the people on the lower right. I can’t seem to find our Disney tickets – I kept them, presumably in a safe place (so safe that I can’t find them) so I used a park guide instead.
Supplies are from Designer Digitals.
Just for yucks, here’s where I tried to use an extracted photo. Strange, right? They just never look right to me. Sigh.
What do you think? If you’d like to play along link up here (leave me a comment when you do, otherwise I won’t know until I go looking here). Oh just leave me a comment to let me know what you think. I love to hear from you!
I’m with you, the photos never look quite right pulled out like that. I don’t know why…the B&W ones look good on the poster. Maybe that they’re full body? This is a very dynamic layout with, what, 22 photos? Impressive! I sure do love Mondays at Paula’s. 🙂
I just linked up my page. I think the images pulled out like that look weird because they are on such a stark background. When I made my page, I found that misting a bit behind the item I place in the lower corner made it look a little better. otherwise, It just seemed to float out there in the white space.
This was a fun one- haven’t tilted anything in a while.
Did last week’s challenge as well. Attached it to the original post for posterity’s sake. 🙂
