but I love this photo of my dad. I loved it so much that I used it for this week’s How Much Is Too Much challenge be squared, which is based on square numbers:
- 1 squared = 1 (one photo)
- 2 squared = 4 (2 manufacturers’ papers; 2 patterns from each)
- 3 squared = 9 (3 word title; 3 types of lettering)
- 4 squared = 16 (16 embellishments)
- 5 squared = 25 (25 words in your journaling)
The challenge made me approach my layout in a very different way to how I usually scrap. I had to find a photo that could have a three-word title. I figured out how to fit my journaling into 25 words and the rest of the design fell out of that. It was a fun twist.
In other news it’s my dad’s 70th birthday today and in honor of this auspicious occasion I made him a Shutterfly album spanning his life so far.
