It’s a day for our people, as my friend Marci said a number of years ago. I hope you have something fun planned to celebrate today! I participated in a fun round-robin challenge with the other reporters for The Scrap Review. My layout was an interpretion of a sketch of a layout by the wonderfully sweet Aly Dosdall. I used the May Kraft Girl kit here and some digital cluster frames by Katie Pertiet (yes, I have a problem, I can’t stop using them!).
In other news I was thrilled to get an email from Mindy at Core’dinations welcoming me to the Design Team. My friend Sarah has been raving about the cardstock for well over a year and I recently got a chance to play with some an I loved it. I’ve never been a technique person but playing with the cardstock and my Slice and Big Shot I’ve been converted! Oh and I’m trying to figure out which dies I should get for my Big Shot. I’m looking for things that are versatile and worth the investment – hook me up if you have any suggestions!
Oh and I almost forgot! Get It Scrapped has started offering a weekly sketch challenge. I’m going to be posting the sketch on the 2nd Friday of the month, that’s next Friday. Two sketches have already been posted (one for yesterday and one from the birthday celebrations last week).
