I’ve been swinging back and forth between digi and paper lately. Much more than I normally do. I love digi for the ease, the speed, the way I can stitch and ink and do all kinds of things that I can’t do (or am afraid to try) in paper. But I love my paper. I love new paper. I love digging though my scraps (which I now have sorted by color – very fun!). I love alpha stickers. I love stickers of all kinds. I love stamps…or rather I love buying stamps. The kids are getting more use out of them than I am but that’s ok…for now 🙂 After I spent some time on this layout:

(which I started weeks ago for the pub ad challenge) and finally finished on Monday, I took a break from paper and worked on digital pages. I cranked out these two in no time at all. Although some days I will admit that I sit at the computer and nothing happens so I’ll take what I can get.

This first one is a lift of the wonderfully talented Debi Boler (behive50) – you can see her layout here. She was the featured creative team member for March at Designer Digitals. I love Debi’s simple graphic layouts – she definitely rocks the sports layouts, lots of inspiration in her gallery.

The 2nd one is for this week’s pub ad challenge – breaking away from the whole grid/square design. I’ve been taking a photo-a-day this year, and after 3 months it gets tough finding things in the house to take photos of…the kids are fed up of me and yell when I come after them with a camera. I stopped at our bedside tables the other day and the seeds of this layout were born:

Everything from DD: Vintage Photo Frames-Round curled-n-flat by KatieP, Pacific Point kit by Kellie Mize, Assorted Zig Zag Stitch Foto Frames-White by Anna Aspnes, Notebook Paper Pack by Katie Pertiet
Now I’m off to play with some paper. Have a great weekend!
