I have a little thing for the color green. Look through my layouts and you’ll see an abundance of green throughout my projects. Curious fact: I didn’t actually notice this myself. Somebody else (ahem Kimber) had to point that out to me a while back. 😮 My love of green has spilled over into other parts of my life now too – in the last post you’ll notice the giant green bag that I now tote around. It’s my turn to host the how much is too much challenge and I decided to come up with a green challenge – i.e. bust out green papers, embellies, what-have-you and make a green layout – even better if you use recycled or environmentally friendly products! I didn’t recycle anything on this layout (apart from the design!) but I did use a bunch of green items from my stash:
The design is based on Katie Pertiet’s Caught on Film layered template — I swiped the frame from the template for my photos and printed it on photo paper. The cardstock is Core’dinations, patterned papers are Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon, Fontwerks and Daisy D’s. The alpha and stickers are by Scenic Route, the ribbon and calendar spot are Jillibean, Jenni Bowlin ticket with a Making Memories really old sticker and the buttons are from Little Yellow Bicycle.
If you want to play along with the challenge just post your layout on the thread in the pub on 2peas!
I am a fellow greenaholic. I love the LO, and how you went hybrid. You are my hero.
Paula, it is amazing how you can skip from paper scrapping to digi and back again. Even within one LO! I can never tell from your preview. I always have to look at the credits to decipher your paper and digi wizardry.
"…a little thing for the color green" oh, did I laugh out loud at that! You need a 12-step program like I need one for blue…but who wants to be cured when it's so fun? I haven't scrapped forever again, so I accept your challenge. 🙂 Thanks Paula!
love the four pics from one 😀
this is so cool Paula, you did such a fabulous job with this. Like I said, if that was me, everything would be crooked! Great page
yeah for GREEN! great thinking on the hybrid…i need to do more of it too. awesome lo
I love your page!
And I love green too, but it's because I always take photos in my yard so every background is green.
Maybe I can squeeze in your HMITM challenge 🙂
I saw your layout on the challenge blog. It's gorgeous. I love green and I love the red accents you added (and it doesn't look Christmassy! That's a great achievement with those colours.) I'm saving it to my inspiration folders to scraplift at a future date. (I'll let you know if/when I do.)
Great page Paula! I love what you did with the photo!
you are totally on a roll. i LOVE all of your latest stuff! 🙂
hugs,
sarah.
Me too! Paula, I am in love with green. Great layout!!
Fun! Totally diggin' the SR chipboard letters. I think I have those puppies somewhere. You make me want to hunt them out.
Fabulous page – neat hybrid!
I miss the pub challenge, must get back to them soon! Love your take on it Paula!!
