I’m back! I took a break last week for a little jet-setting and I’m back with a new inspiration challenge this week – did you notice I was gone? 🙂 I went to my college reunion in Ireland. It was great in so many ways – I found this week’s inspiration piece on my travels and I have new photos and a topic to scrap!
Here’s this week’s inspiration:
I’m a fan of anything that incorporates lots of photos in a clean, uncluttered way, and of course, the typography here is very cool. Here’s my interpretation – most of my photos were appropriated from my friend Kieran (thanks!) and were all taken with an iPhone. Not too shabby, eh?
My natural inclination was to use a white background but I fought that urge and went with this textured blue. I’m quite happy with the result. I like the layered effect of the brushwork.
Supplies: Alison Solids (Maplebrook Studios), Berks Lane kit (Katie Pertiet) and Simple Classics Traveler kit (Katie Pertiet)
Pretty low count on the product front but I like how it looks.
As always I’d love to hear if this inspires you – let me know if you create something based on this. I’d love to see a paper version – anyone brave enough to try it?
I’m smiling here because I saw this poster on Ali Edward’s blog and drew a quick sketch to use as a layout! Great minds :). Your interpretation is lovely – I like your little collection top right. Not sure if I have the lettering stuff for a paper version, but I quite like the challenge!
I’ll have to go check out Ali’s blog – I hadn’t seen it anywhere else. That’s funny!
I love what you did with the tittle and the pictures, but trying to figure how you did it.
