Hello, anybody out there? It’s been eons since I posted. This past month has steamrolled by so quickly that I don’t know whether I’m coming or going (both, quite frequently as it turns out). I am alive, and I have been doing lots of stuff, but most of it is not related to scrapbooking. There’s a few things that I want to share however!

It’s now August, and has been for this whole week (eek!) which means that the Write.Click.Scrapbook gallery has been updated with a new theme. This month was all about using your photos as they are – the trusty 4×6 photo. My layout is digital but it could definitely be done in paper also:

Supplies: Walk this way kit (Lynn Grieveson) + Krafty Elegance (Katie Pertiet), + Brad Bonanza (Pattie Knox) + Curled Edge 5 (Anna Aspnes) + Straightline Stitched by Anna (Anna Aspnes) + Wire Rimmed Alpha no1 (Katie Pertiet) + font (Pea Gemini Jen)

I took these photos for my mom’s birthday – she always wants photos of the grandkids together, but they have a tendency to be very goofy when I try to get a picture. The solution: take two photos and line them up!

I’ve just about recovered from my trip to CHA. We’re heading away on vacation this weekend so I haven’t had time for a trip report but I did want to post my favorite CHA project with the fabulous Pasta Fagioli line from Jillibean Soup. I’m loving this accordion kraft mini!

Aren’t the colors and patterns awesome? Love it!

CHA was loads of fun and completely exhausting. The Jillibean booth was mobbed every time I passed by (which was a lot!) and I’m so happy for Jill 🙂 I was wonderful to meet more of the Jillibean crew – all wonderful ladies. I had some fun taking over for Emily doing make-and-takes at the Studio Calico booth. I even taught a few people how to mist. Me! Misting! Ha! Don’t tell anyone that I was faking it. Emily and I were hosting the W.C.S blog all week so you can check out those posts to see what we were up to – go back from our picks post.

I’m going to leave you with a digital layout that I did about our weekend at the lake. It’s a little bit inspired by my misting in Chicago 😉

Oh and I almost forgot, my latest review is up at the Scrap Review. I did a corner rounder comparison – between the EK Success punch and WeR corner chomper. This whole month is devoted to comparison articles – I’m looking forward to seeing those reviews.

One more thing — Core’dinations is sponsoring today’s giveaway at write.click.scrapbook so if you’d like to win the mother lode of cardstock go leave a comment on this post!
