I need a little something to take my mind off this dreary winter weather. And what better than a little bit of October Afternoon to brighten my day. I was thrilled to get some of the new Fly a Kite and Thrift Shop releases while I was at CHA. I’ve been playing with Fly a Kite quite a big – they just worked perfectly with some photos I have from Molly’s birthday celebrations (yes, plural – birthdays tend to go on quite a bit around here!)

I used last week’s Sunday Sketch from Studio Calico for this first one – I thought the space for the banner could be filled in with the die cut butterflies and stars that we used as cupcake toppers. Bonus – I finally used my tiny EK Success cupcake punch. That is a really tiny cupcake.

I made a little pennant banner for this 2nd one using some scrapbooker’s floss and bits of the patterned papers. I love how the Jillibean Coredinations looks here too – I sanded the edges so the numbers would pop more. The digital cluster frame no 26 is Katie’s.

Next up, some cards. Apologies to the intended recipients (you can see who you are) — they’ve been sitting on my desk for some time now, I will mail them eventually, I promise!
I also used some Jenni Bowlin (circle card) above, a Hero Arts stamp and Doodlebug alpha stickers above.
Happy belated birthdays Suzy and Debi!
