Today’s quote:
I have often thought it would be a blessing if each human being were stricken blind and deaf for a few days during their early adult life. Darkness would make them more appreciative of sight; silence would teach them the joys of sound.
-Helen Keller
This afternoon I’m headed to my one week follow-up appointment after my LASIK procedure – I definitely appreciate the gift of sight. It’s so wonderful to be able to wake up in the morning and be able to see, to read the number on the clock, to not have to guess what I am looking at!
I’m listening to the sound of my son not napping. 🙁 Yes, the little guy is supposed to be fast asleep at this stage but he is in his crib asking for toys, booking and looking to get out. I’m ignoring him, hoping that he will pass out but it looks like that is not going to happen. Silence would be appreciated in this house right about now.
That whole not-napping sound sounds like it’s worth of a scrapbook page!
